الخلاصة Summary

هذا النص بالإنجليزية فقط — لا تتوفر لدينا نسخة عربية منه.

This foundational early poem by Taha Hussein marks his emergence into public elegy with a deeply felt lament for Hasan Pasha Abdel Razek following his death in 1908. Rather than operating as a conventional courtly tribute, the verses channel a profound communal grief that shakes the foundations of public life in Egypt. The speaker wrestles with the stark reality of the loss, portraying the fallen leader as an irreplaceable pillar of wisdom, generosity, and justice whose passing leaves the nation exposed and desolate.
