النص Poem text
Calamity has struck knowledge and peace in you; O departed guide, upon you be peace.
You were a steadfast mountain when troubles loomed heavy; massive trials could never shake your resolve.
A man whose very pathway, wherever he walked, was treated with cautious reverence by the days.
O dweller of hearts, time itself stood in awe of you—how then did death dare to assail you?
Your grave holds magnanimity and virtue, and within it lie steadfastness and daring courage.
Your abode was wide for those in need, and in its courtyards the fatherless found nurturing.
You carried no malice or hatred, even when the spiteful sought to harm you.
Pure of heart, you never intended evil; clean of garment, no stain of blame ever touched you.
Your spirit was alive, proclaiming the truth until your clarity twisted the reins of illusion.
You were peaceful in temperament while time was at war, your resolve sleepless while hearts slept.
Every year you cast an arrow whose accuracy no other shot could ever match.
You have left behind among the people a renown that pens continuously sing.
You came to the house of life while time was aged, and you departed while the age was yet a youth.
Ah, for a heart that held you in pure affection while alive, turning away in silence at the blow of your death.
There was a hope in this life, but we buried it the day the Imam died.
May God have mercy on a noble soul of yours, and how rare such noble souls are.
