The sovereign power rests before you, facing you; I have entrusted your kingdom to the Prophet and to his devotion.
Noble are you, and you are the very soul of freedom in its history; indulgent are you, the finest among your noble kindred.
The Christian would ransom you with his cross, and he who belongs to Muhammad offers his crescent.
They find in your state—wherein they have found bliss—a manifestation of the Creator's mercy and His boundless favors.
O paradise of the valley and its soul's delightful retreat, the joy of its heart and the peace of its mind.
Farouk has adorned it and graced its shores—a throne beneath whose shadows the people take refuge.
And it was as though your festival was the nation's festival, when the harbinger walked within it bearing his glad tidings and beauty.
